What are tags:
You get a tag when you purchase an annual membership*.
They are numbered #1 to #50.
When are tags in play:
If you are playing on a card with other BDG tag holders, and there’s a scorecard (eg uDisc), it’s assumed that you are ‘playing for tags’.
If there’s no scorecard, then it’s assumed that you’re not playing for tags.
As a card, you can decide at the beginning if you’re doing something different.
If you don’t want to play for tags (for example you can only play half a round) you should mention it before the round starts, or as soon as possible.
Don’t be that guy:
If somebody owns a tag, but doesn’t have it with them, they’re not included in the tag battle. There’s no “I’ll bring it next time”. Never give a tag without receiving one back.
Don’t be THAT guy:
Having a good tag, and ‘forgetting’ it.
How does it work:
At the end of the round, the person with the best score gets the best tag. The person with the second best score gets the second best tag. etc.
If two or more people have the same score, the person who started the round with the best tag, gets the better tag. It’s not enough to draw, you have to beat them.
Example:
The fab four are playing a round.
When they start, they have these tags:
George has tag #3
Paul has tag #9
John has tag #28
Ringo has tag #36
They play a round, and get these scores:
George 52, so keeps tag #3
John 56, draws with Ringo, but started on a better tag, so gets #9
Ringo 56, draws with John, so gets #28
Paul 68, so gets tag #36
*gold annual membership should get a tag, standard usually have to pay extra. While stocks last. Jack usually has an extra tag with him, they’re not posted out.
